E1 – If not separately named, for vehicles with OE-lowered suspension, the lowering dimension is reduced by the amount of lowering already carried out by the manufacturer. Vehicles with OE-lifted suspension (e.g., Offroad-Package, Crossover) are excluded from use of these products unless otherwise specified. The specifications in the Components Certificate classify the item/vehicle; please check your car’s Components Certificate number (letter “K” on the registration or type plate) against the certificate. Before fitting, verify via the Components Certificate whether the delivered items (see marking) are approved for your vehicle (see area of use). The current Components Certificate is available at www.eibach.de. If non-conforming, the item must not be installed — please consult your dealer.
Installation must be performed only by qualified workshops with skilled personnel and proper tools. If installation deviates from the workshop manual, Eibach’s online instructions should be followed. The mounting position can be read from the spring imprint and must be installed accordingly. After installation, wheel alignment is required. All wheel/tyre combinations approved by the wheel type testing institution are permitted unless otherwise specified. OE suspension is required.
The actual lowering may vary depending on engine, gearbox, equipment, and vehicle tolerances. The product’s applicability is for standard cars; any reconstruction (including OE accessory parts) like accessory brake systems (e.g., ceramic brakes), sport suspensions, or LPG systems may exclude the use of these products.
Measurements refer to new standard cars, with the measuring point being the vertical distance from the wheel hub center to the bottom edge of the mud wing. Values are nominal and may vary. Vehicles with serial electronic damper control will lose that function when using the MTS Technik x Eibach suspension kit, causing a fault code that can be reset by an official garage/dealership. Pro-Tronic is recommended if available to avoid fault codes.
E18 – Without levelling control.
E20 – Except vehicles with 4WD.
115 – Rear dampers only suitable for torsion-beam suspension.
E170 – For cars with independent suspension at the rear axle.
E323 – The original Volkswagen rubber plate 5Q0 512 149 G (9mm) or 8J0 512 149 (13 mm) can optionally be used for vehicles with heavy equipment variants (e.g., rear wheel, trailer coupling, glass roof). Details are in the parts certificate. This replaces the standard VW rubber plate 5Q0 512 149 F (6mm) and is available only through Volkswagen or original parts dealers.
